Occupational Therapist

Hometown: Danbury, CT

About yourself:  I have been married for 20 years, and have three children. I love carpentry, and one of my new hobbies is sampling pizza through a Facebook page titled “An Arab and An Italian walk into a…”

Why and when did you choose your profession? I I initially went to school and majored in Construction Management. While seeing my fellow classmates graduate with limited Construction Management opportunities back in the early to mid ’90s, I decided to take a trip to the hospital across the street from campus. It was there that I was given a tour of the Rehab department and where I was introduced to an Occupational Therapist who explained to me the diversity in populations they worked with… and the rest is history. Here I am, almost 25-plus years later, making a difference in my community.
