RVNAhealth offers flu vaccines for the whole family – from infants 6 months+ to seniors. Our nurses are highly skilled, experienced, and kind.
As of November 1st, there are two options for flu shots: At RVNAhealth by Appointment and At Home (Additional Fees Apply).
We offer two types of flu vaccines. We also have a limited supply of the new Pfizer and Moderna COVID booster, available upon request and availability at the time of your flu shot. Learn about RVNAhealth safety protocols and payment/insurance.
OPTION 1:
At RVNAhealth By Appointment
Starting in October we will be offering appointments at our Ridgefield and New Milford offices. A limited supply of the new COVID booster vaccines (both Pfizer and Moderna) are available and can also be requested at the time of your flu shot (based upon availability). Please inquire about COVID booster availability upon arrival if you are interested.
Additional appointments will be added two weeks out based upon vaccine supply.

OPTION 2:
At Your Home (additional fees apply)
Individuals preferring to receive flu and pneumonia shots at home may make appointments with our private nursing team. We also have a limited supply of COVID boosters upon request and availability.

INSURANCE
We accept the following forms of payment for flu and pneumonia vaccines:
- Medicare Part B
- Aetna
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- ConnectiCare
- Harvard Pilgrim
- MultiPlan
Please note that RVNAhealth is NOT a preferred provider for Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, AARP insurance for flu and pneumonia vaccines.
If you do not have a participating insurance plan, payment will be accepted by check or credit card ($45 for regular; $70 for high dose).
Please note that flu vaccines for children (age 18 and under) are provided at no charge, through the CT State vaccine program. Insurance will be billed an administration fee (when possible) but there will be no out of pocket payment for children.
VACCINES
RVNAhealth offers two types of flu vaccine:
Quadrivalent for ages 6 months and older.
High Dose (Fluad) for ages 65 and older.
All vaccines are preservative-free.
RVNAhealth also offers two types of pneumonia vaccines. Prevnar13 and Pneumovax23 pneumonia vaccines are available for individuals age 65+. If you are under the age of 65, a doctor’s prescription is required to receive the pneumonia vaccine.
SAFETY FIRST
RVNAhealth follows strict infection control and hygiene practices and has extensive cleaning measures of all equipment and facilities. All treatment rooms have a filtration system to ensure absolute safety. Rooms are cleaned before, after, and between appointments with medical-grade solutions.

At RVNAhealth, we offer flu vaccines for all those 6 months+, so families can vaccinate together. We also make getting the flu shot a little more appealing for kids 18 and under with cute ice packs (if needed) and band aids, stickers, plus a coupon for a free ice cream compliments of Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe.
