Services to Keep You Healthy

Our goal is to help you maintain optimal health and well-being throughout your life.

From nutrition counseling to flu shots to preparing you for travel abroad, RVNAhealth BeWELL services meet your ongoing health and wellness needs.  

We serve hundreds, even thousands each year, both individually and community-wide.
We do this through services at our Center for Exceptional Care in Ridgefield, CT and in the communities we serve across Connecticut.

COVID-19 Vaccines

RVNAhealth is an official COVID-19 vaccine provider in the State of CT, approved by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH), and working in partnership with local municipalities. RVNAhealth is currently administering COVID-19 Vaccines in accordance with the phased vaccination approach outlined by the CT DPH.

COVID-19 Testing

RVNAhealth offers COVID-19 testing by appointment to the public. Tests are administered by RVNAhealth nurses, and are available at RVNAhealth (Ridgefield location) or at your home. RVNAhealth offers both PCR (oral swab) and Rapid (nasal) tests. 

Nurse-Family Partnership

Our team of maternal and child health nurses utilizes the evidence-based Nurse-Family Partnership nursing model which pairs mothers with their own personal nurse from pregnancy through their child’s second birthday. RVNAhealth Nurse-Family Partnership is a voluntary, free program for eligible mothers* residing in Western Connecticut.

Flu & Pneumonia Vaccines

Every flu season, RVNAhealth offers flu and pneumonia shots daily (except Sundays) at our Center for Exceptional Care and through flu clinics in the community.  RVNAhealth flu nurses are highly-skilled, experienced and compassionate. Vaccines are available for the whole family, from infants (6 months old) to seniors.

Nursing Services & Immunizations

To complement the services we provide to individuals in their homes, RVNAhealth also offers a range of nursing services (screenings and testings; dressing changes and more) and immunizations at our Center for Exceptional Care in Ridgefield, CT for those in need of specific vaccinations and those with medical needs that can be challenging to perform independently.

Private Duty Nursing

Private duty nurses are available to serve patients with non-covered medical services such as medication management and administration, routine injections not covered by insurance, respiratory treatments, ventilator, trach, and feeding tube care, and elective procedure recovery, to name just a few. Our nurses can also accompany patients to medical appointments and provide education and advice.

All private duty nurses are employed by RVNAhealth as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse and have access to the entire RVNAhealth suite of services to help ensure seamless care and transition between services if needed. Services are provided in-home and at facilities located across southwestern Connecticut.

Health & Wellness Fair

RVNAhealth’s annual Health & Wellness Fair features free health screenings from head to toe; medical experts and professionals available for Q & As; and wellness organizations and community groups offering valuable information and fun activities.

Education Programs

Being informed is the first step to living a healthy life. To keep you current on matters of health and wellness, RVNAhealth holds education programs and events on a wide variety of topics, led by experts in their fields.

Public Health & Safety

In emergency situations such as snowstorms, power outages, and threats to public health and safety, RVNAhealth is the designated resource for health support in the Ridgefield, CT community.  

Nutrition Services

RVNAhealth offers nutrition services and programs through our registered dietitians. Our nutrition services help you evaluate and refine your diet for optimal health, healing, enjoyment and energy. Our dietitians are skilled at — and enjoy — working with people at all ages and stages of health, including children.

Travel Health

Travel to exotic locales brings extraordinary benefits — and adventure. But it can also expose you to serious diseases that may threaten your health. Zika virus, typhoid, malaria, yellow fever … to name a few. RVNAhealth travel health specialists provide information, immunizations and prescriptions to keep your journeys healthy and sound. 

Blood Pressure Screenings  

High blood pressure plays a role in many serious health conditions, yet it often has no symptoms. To help you keep track of your numbers, RVNAhealth offers free blood pressure screenings each month at several area locations.

Physical Wellness & Training

RVNAhealth offers massage therapy, Reiki, strength and conditioning, and personal training at our Rehabilitation & Wellness Center in Ridgefield, CT. Our team can help you increase circulation, reduce tension, re-align muscle, build strength and enhance energy and balance.

Well-Child Clinics

Every August, RVNAhealth offers physicals and immunization-only visits for young people from birth to age 18. Well-Child Clinics are open to all, but are especially intended for families who do not have health insurance, or whose insurance does not cover annual physicals and immunizations.
