RVNAhealth’s vision, A Healthy Community for All, and mission, To deliver unmatched, compassionate healthcare when and where it is needed, are not just words. Our team members live our mission and vision every day of the year.
Sophia, RVNAhealth’s therapy dog, got lots of love at this year’s Well-Child Clinics, which offer free physicals and immunizations to the un- and under-insured in our area.
Ms. T, at left, age 99, recently had a hankering for a “good seafood meal.” Since she typically has trouble tasting foods and doesn’t get much enjoyment out of eating, her team was delighted to hear of her craving. They sprang into action and Danielle Niesz, LPN, promptly hand-delivered a delicious plate of friend scallops with cheesecake for dessert. Bon appetit!
RVNAhealth patient, Gen Fagan, 88, enjoys a final physical therapy session with Kate Campbell, DPT, at the Golf Performance Center in Ridgefield. Fagan’s goal, after a serious fall and surgery in April 2021, was to return to the sport she loves. With RVNAhealth’s help, she did it!
The RVNAhealth Nurse-Family Partnership program, which pairs first-time mothers with their own personal nurse, offers remarkable clinical expertise and maternal guidance. And often much more. RVNAhealth’s Jill Hart, LPN and brilliant photographer, recently treated an NFP baby to a special photo session. Look at this beauty. xoxo
Jill Hart, LPN, and photographer (see image above), does a blood pressure screening at one of the recent Well-Child Clinic. Jill is beloved on the senior center circuit, where she brings education and screenings, along with her own special energy and flair.
Lead Account Manager, Kathy Haven, shows her crafty side at Bethel Health & Rehabilitation Center. RVNAhealth was participating in Bethel’s ‘Adopt a Window” program, which resulted in sunny views for long-term care residents.
In a recent hospice volunteer training, Sherrye Platt, MA, MT-BC, RVNAhealth music therapist, demonstrates how she uses her discipline — and her ukelele —to connect with patients with dementia. Several team members contributed expertise and recommendations to help the volunteers with their ‘work assignments.’
Olivia DoVale, RN, BSN, conducted blood pressure screenings in the beautiful landscape that is Kent, CT. RVNAhealth was there for Kent’s annual sidewalk sales. Olivia manages the RVNAhealth Chronic Care Management program which helps patients stay on top, and ahead of, their chronic ailments.
Occupational Therapist, Sarah Triano, OTR/L, steps outside the Rehabilitation & Wellness Center recently to help a patient recovering from shoulder replacement surgery — but eager to get back on the course.
Tiffany Sanders, MD, RVNAhealth hospice medical director, lends a hand at the recent Well-Child Clinics. An experienced physician and mother of three, Dr. Sanders is a natural.
And last, but never least, Sophia whose darling raincoat brought a smile to everybody’s face.
