reCREATE with Art and Parkinson’s Disease

Re-engage in the joy of creating! Come relax and enjoy a recreational, stress free art activity within a safe and supportive environment. Participants will settle into the workshop with a short, guided meditation and then follow prompts from the instructor to begin creating their own unique piece of art. Participants do not need to have any prior artistic abilities or knowledge! All necessary art materials will be provided. Instruction provided by guest art instructor, Dr. Jean Linville

NOTE: This event is scheduled right before our monthly in-person support group.  We’d love to have you stay for our support group directly following this art event at 2pm!

Dr. Jean Linville is an ecologically minded visual artist, writer and native plant enthusiast. Jean holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Union Institute and University, an MA in Fine Arts and Arts Education from Vermont College of Norwich University and a BS in Art Education from SUNY at Buffalo. Jean taught art in the NY public schools for over 30 years. In addition to doing occasional lectures and workshops, Jean is a volunteer at The Weir Farm National Historic Park and the Ecotype Project at The Hickories Organic Farm in Ridgefield.
