On Thursday, June 10, at the annual State of the Town Address, hosted by the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce, RVNAhealth — along with a handful of other local organizations — received special recognition for above and beyond performance in the past year. The honor recognizes RVNAhealth’s response during the COVID-19 Pandemic, stepping forward to serve patients and families beginning in early March 2020 and extending through 2021 as a COVID-19 Vaccine Provider for the town, and beyond. The event, Ridgefield Moving Forward, took place at the Lounsbury House and featured an address by First Selectman, Rudy Marconi.
The RVNAhealth award was presented by Dan O’Brien, incoming chair of the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce, and long-time friend, supporter, and board member of RVNAhealth. Above and Beyond honors were also awarded to Ridgefield Police Department, Ridgefield Fire Department and EMS; Dick Aarons/CERT; Meals on Wheels, Ridgefield Arts Council, and Pamby Motors.
“We truly appreciate the recognition and ongoing support of the Town of Ridgefield,” says Theresa Santoro, MSN, RN, CHCA, President & CEO of RVNAhealth. “RVNAhealth’s response was driven by our mission and commitment to our communities and supported by our many colleagues here. Like the other honorees, we never thought twice about what we were here to do. We are all glad that life is moving forward and proud of our roles in getting us here.”
The special award is presently on display in the lobby of RVNAhealth at 27 Governor Street in Ridgefield. Visitors are welcome to stop in, say hello, take a look, and grab a hand sanitizer for the road.
