There is currently no vaccine for the 2019-nCoV infection. During this Novel Coronavirus situation, as always, you should practice essential safety and travel precautions:
Methodical Hand Washing: wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds frequently, especially if you have been shaking hands, shopping, before eating or if you will be in contact with a small baby or child, or an elderly adult.
Hands Off: Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands and avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Virus Containment: help contain the air-borne spread of colds and viruses via ‘droplet’ by coughing or sneezing into your sleeve, or a tissue. THEN throw the tissue out. If you must cough into your hand, use an alcohol-gel based cleanser as soon as possible thereafter and clean your hands.
Hand sanitizer or wipes: Carry and use alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol or antibacterial hand wipes, whenever soap and water is not feasible. Don’t be reluctant to use this after shaking hands especially in large groups, conferences. When traveling by air, wipe down your tray before using it. Wipe down the counter in the bathroom before you set anything down on it. If permitted, use Lysol spray in the airplane bathroom. Travel size containers of Lysol spray available. Add this to your first aid kit.
When traveling abroad to Asia, or Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam avoid travel to- or near food markets where there is poultry, fowl, or unusual species.
