Casey Sarmiere, MSPT
Outpatient Clinic Manager
In her role as a Physical therapist and Clinic Manager, Casey Sarmiere assists patients on their road to recovery from surgeries, injuries, falls, hospitalizations, or pain from everyday activities. She enjoys utilizing her manual therapy skills in conjunction with exercise to get patients actively involved in their recovery. She says, “Everybody can exercise - our bodies are meant to move!”
Casey has more than 20 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. She specializes in treating the older population for balance issues, vestibular rehab, Parkinson's disease, joint replacements, and lower-back and neck pain. She has extensive experience and continuing education in manual therapy and orthopedic spine disorders.
Casey graduated from Ithaca College in 1997 with a master’s degree in physical therapy (MSPT). She is also a certified Pilates Mat instructor (CPI), certified kinesiotape practitioner (CKTP), certified in LSVT BIG (a program for Parkinson’s patients), and certified in Vestibular Rehab through the American Institute of Balance (AIB-VR).
A resident of Brookfield, where she lives with her husband and two boys, Casey enjoys the outdoors. That includes walking her dog, hiking and running. “Exercise and being active is a big part of my life, but I also enjoy listening to music and watching movies with my kids,” she says. “My boys keep me busy with their activities and sports, but I also could probably recite all the Marvel, Star Wars and Harry Potter movies from memory!”
