Hospice Medical Director

Tiffany Sanders MD, RVNAhealth Hospice Director, is responsible for the fastest growing segment of RVNAhealth services. Dr. Sanders provides leadership and guidance for those facilitating the comprehensive, integrated RVNAhealth hospice care program and, together with her team, assimilates patients and their loved ones in the hospice end-of-life philosophy.

A tenured treating physician with extensive executive leadership experience, Dr. Sanders influenced national Medicare policy programs and quality standards prior to applying her expertise to the Federal Bureau of Prisons by implementing equalizing healthcare policy ensuring equitable care for female offenders. She held several Medical Director positions in the Northeast at prestigious facilities like St. Francis Hospital, Norwalk Community Health Center, Cityblock Health, and Connecticut Counseling Center which focused efforts on those affected by the opioid crisis.

Dr. Sanders earned her B.A. in Biology from the University of Virginia and her M.D. at Drexel University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at MCP-Hahnemann University in Internal Medicine and her post-Doctoral clinical fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Geriatric Medicine. She is licensed with both Connecticut and New York Boards of Physicians and holds Diplomate status with the American Board of Internal Medicine. She held academic posts at Quinnipiac University Frank H Netter School of Medicine and served as Medical Director at University of Bridgeport’s Physician Assistant Institute.

Dr. Sanders was acknowledged with The Network Journal “40 under 40” achievement award as well as by Connecticut Health Foundation for her contributions to statewide healthcare leadership.
