Kate Campbell, PT, DPT, SCS, Cert. MDT, CSCS, is the RVNAhealth Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services focused exclusively on the performance, services, and growth of the RVNAhealth Rehabilitation & Wellness Center. Kate’s specialty is in sports and orthopedics and she is committed to helping patients return to their sports and activities following injury. Kate also provides post-joint replacement therapy, vestibular support and Otago balance training. She is LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Training) Big certified and treats patients with Parkinson’s disease.
Kate holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware, where she also earned her undergraduate degree in exercise physiology with a double minor in strength & conditioning and biology. Kate is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) in Sports Physical Therapy (currently one of only 18 physical therapists in the state of Connecticut with this distinction). She is a Sportsmetrics™ trainer (a program designed to teach female athletes proper biomechanics to avoid ACL injuries) and is certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. Since 2008, Kate has specialized in fabricating custom foot orthotics, evaluating and casting patient's feet through Stride™ Orthotics. She also performs running evaluations.
Kate is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Connecticut Physical Therapy Association. Within APTA, Kate is active in the Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Sports Physical Therapy, and Geriatric Physical Therapy sections, focusing on such special interest groups as: Golf and Golf Performance; Sports Performance Enhancement; Female Athlete; Running; Youth Athlete; Professional/Collegiate Therapist; Balance and Falls; Bone Health, Health Promotion and Wellness.
Kate was a Division I cheerleader at the University of Delaware during both undergraduate and graduate school. She now coaches cheerleading locally. A resident of Ridgefield, Kate enjoys golf with her family, running, training for and competing in triathlons, and spending time with her three young daughters.
