Sally Santana, MHA
As hospice director, Sally Santana’s role is to meet the current needs of hospice patients and their families while establishing a roadmap for the future — refining, deepening and enhancing the hospice services that we offer and increasing awareness and understanding of the benefits of hospice care. Her scope of responsibilities includes Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI), regulatory compliance, staff education and daily, non-clinical operations for this rapidly growing service.
Formerly a QAPI coordinator for VNA Health Group, she notes that the RVNAhealth Hospice team brings both heads and hearts to the patients and families for whom they provide care.
“We bring love, compassion, and capable staff to people during their most difficult times, 24/7, during patients’ final days of life,” she says.
She adds, “Hospice can be a very challenging and demanding program for our team members. But as professionals, we also see firsthand how much joy, fulfillment and peace our care and support brings to families when they need it the most.”
Sally joined RVNAhealth in her current role in November 2019. She holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Capella University, and a bachelor’s degree in business from Phoenix University. A resident of Kearny, NJ, she cherishes visits with her many family members who live in the Dominican Republic.
