Are you recovering from joint-replacement surgery, or another significant surgery? Our RVNAhealth care team offers exceptional orthopedic programs to help you return to your day-to-day activities as soon as possible. We specialize in pre- and post-rehabilitative care. And we make it easy for you. We can begin therapy in your home. When you are ready, we can continue treatment at our state-of-the art outpatient RVNAhealth Therapy Center in Ridgefield, CT.

Maintaining physical independence is essential to our well-being. If you're recovering from a stroke, joint replacement surgery, or managing conditions like Parkinson's disease that affect your mobility, our dedicated physical therapists are here to assist you. We offer personalized rehabilitation programs to enhance your strength, balance, and overall function, empowering you to navigate life with greater ease.

Independence and quality of life. We know these are every patient’s deepest desire. Our RVNAhealth occupational therapists (OTs) understand this and help you improve your ability to perform everyday tasks with confidence as well as provide caregiver training to ensure the highest level of patient participation is preserved. Whether you are recovering from an injury, medical condition, or want to preserve or regain lost skills, our OTs help you practice what you need to live the most independent life possible. When you find yourself experiencing physical and/or cognitive changes, please call. The earlier we begin our work together the better.

The ability to use our voice to communicate is something we all hold sacred. If you are recovering from a stroke, having difficulty swallowing, or managing Parkinson’s disease, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, or other sensitive conditions that affect your speech, please, allow us to support you. Our speech therapists offer cognitive training and speech-language retraining to make things easier for you. Help is available. We are just a phone call away.

RVNAhealth offers in-home rehabilitation services covered under Medicare Part B, designed to help you regain independence and improve your quality of life.

Medicare Part B covers outpatient rehabilitative therapy services when they are medically necessary and prescribed by a doctor or qualified healthcare provider.

Therapy at home (including physical, occupational, and speech therapies) may be provided for conditions such as post-surgery recovery, managing chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, Parkinson’s), or improving mobility. The therapy must be medically necessary, meaning it is needed to diagnose or treat a condition, illness, or injury.

Basic requirements for Medicare Part B In-Home Therapy include:

  • You have Medicare Part B coverage, and
  • Your doctor has certified the medical necessity of physical, occupational, or speech therapy, and
  • You are not eligible for Medicare Part A home health benefits

Situations where Part B In-Home Therapy Services may help:

  • Transitioning from Home Health to outpatient therapy care
  • Chronic conditions or continuation of care not covered by Medicare Part A
  • Transportation challenges or concerns about leaving home for appointments
  • Strength and conditioning support
  • Recovery from orthopedic injuries or surgeries
  • Neurological conditions

Are you experiencing dizziness or imbalance? Do you need to hold onto objects when you walk? We can help. Our RVNAhealth care therapists are specially trained in Vestibular Therapy to help resolve or minimize any dizziness and balance concerns.

We understand that falling is a big concern. A fall can be dangerous at any age. This is why our RVNAhealth care team offers a therapy called Otago. Otago is an evidence-based program that reduces the risk of falls and related injuries. It focuses on improving muscle strength, balance, flexibility, and reaction time. And because we personalize our care, we tailor our program to your needs. After an initial balance assessment, we design your program to improve your level of functioning.

Our RVNAhealth care team is trained in helping people navigating life with Parkinson’s feel more in control of this difficult diagnosis.

Parkinson’s is hard. Please learn more about how our expertly trained therapists support individuals managing this diagnosis. Many of our therapists are specially trained in LSVT BIG and LOUD. We also offer education, resource support, and group therapy for loved ones and caregivers. Trust us when we say, community helps as you begin this journey. You can find it with us.
