Nourish Your Mind – Cooking for Brain Health

Thursday, April 23rd | 5:00–7:00 pm

RVNAhealth Teaching Kitchen, 27 Governor Street, Ridgefield, CT

While we often eat with our heart health in mind, we may not always consider our brain health. Discover how delicious food can not only reduce risk of cardiac disease, but can support a sharper, healthier brain as well. Inspired by the MIND diet (Mediterranean–DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay), this class is for anyone interested in learning how specific foods can help protect cognitive function and reduce the risk of memory decline.

We’ll cover the basics of the MIND diet so you can make wise decisions in the kitchen, while we prepare a selection of simple, flavorful recipes. We’ll use common ingredients, highlighting these brain-boosting foods, while limiting ingredients that can be detrimental to cognition and memory.

In a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, this class will empower you to create meals that are as nourishing for your brain as they are satisfying on your plate!

Some demo, some hands on. All recipes provided.

  • Arugula & White Bean Salad
