About This Series
Boxing & Beyond is a non-contact therapeutic boxing program designed to support balance, coordination, posture, reaction time, and overall strength in a welcoming group environment.
This class is especially supportive for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, as well as anyone looking to move with more confidence and stability in daily life. No boxing experience is needed. All fitness levels are welcome.
This is a moderately paced, non-competitive program. There are no intimidating stations or pressure to perform. Participants move together, side by side, guided by instructors who understand the unique movement challenges associated with Parkinson’s.
What to Expect Each Week
• Dynamic warm-ups to prepare the body for movement
• Boxing fundamentals including stance, guard, jabs, and crosses
• Structured bag work paired with functional movement for balance and coordination
• Restorative cool-downs focused on flexibility, breathing, and mobility
*Participants must be able to maintain balance independently and be comfortable walking barefoot or in socks.
*No shoes or assistive devices allowed on the mats.
Why Boxing?
Research shows that boxing-based exercise can improve balance, reaction time, motor control, and quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Many participants also report increased confidence, reduced stress, and a sense of connection that grows quietly week by week.

Prepay for all 8 classes: $210
Drop-in rate: $30 per class
Gloves are provided. Personal gloves may be purchased for an additional cost.
There are no make-up classes.
